Happy Sunday Friends!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Guided Reading.
It was ALWAYS my favorite time of the day. But it wasn’t always my favorite.
I remember feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated learning how to truly implement Guided Reading in my classroom that was fun, rigorous and engaging.
I was a hot mess before I really got in a groove.
Do you struggle with where to even begin when you are putting together your lesson plans for your classroom?
I know I struggled.
It was so frustrating to “know” what I wanted to do, but to get it all written down on paper AND organized was something else all together.
Teaching children to learn how to read, understand what they read, and find joy in the process of reading is a complex task. Trust me I have been there, I know firsthand how difficult it can be and it does take A LOT of time to figure it all out and to get into a rhythm during your guided reading block.
In this 3-part video series, I want to walk you through my effective guided reading plan for your early readers. Throughout this series, I will be using one of my own Guided reading books, Ready To Quit.
I hope you enjoy this new video, and that you find some nuggets of information to help you during your Guided Reading block.
